So many wonderful memories of Bill.
He and I shared a wonderful few days around the 1981 Boston Marathon. The day after the race, Bill and I toured the Freedom Trail and visited Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.

Bill and the entire McChesney family always treated me as “family.” During my years in Eugene, I was included in holidays and birthdays and other gatherings, including literally hundreds of meals with the family.
During the past several years, I made many trips to Eugene and always looked forward to morning coffee with Bill and “the boys” at 5th Street Market and to dinners at Turtles with Marcia and Bill...always spare ribs for them!
We would then return to that wonderful home I knew so well for movies and conversation until late in the evening.
I shall dearly miss Bill and his laughter and his stories and his genuine love for his family and friends. God Bless Bill and the entire McChesney family!
Sincerely,
