My deepest condolences to the entire family. You are all in my heart, mind, and prayers. Our families have been intertwined from Mombasa days. You've always been, and always will be, a second family to me. Thank you for making us a part of your loving family. God bless you always.
I always thought of Aaji as my grandmother. Bhau was my Paediatrician. From my childhood, Aaji cared for and loved me like her own. A beautiful soul. She was the kindest and most loving person I’ve ever known. Never without a smile, her love for all was pure and unconditional.
Family meant so much to Aaji, evident in the pictures that fill her home. She welcomed everyone with open arms. Her hugs were legendary. Almost every time I visited her, I met someone new. Her happiness came from seeing everyone happy.
Visits and sleepovers at Aaji’s house were always memorable. She never failed to spoil us. Swimming, fun, laughter, family togetherness, and of course, food. Everything she made was delicious but especially that cucumber raita! It got sweeter over the years but was still the best!
I once stayed a week with Aaji when taking a course at Ryerson University. I cherished our meals and conversations together every evening. Hers was always my home away from home and literally, ‘where the heart is’.
The clock that Aaji had with the Big Ben chimes…years ago, I bought a clock with the same chimes. Every time it chimes, I remember her and the happy times we shared.
Aaji was truly a blessing in my life and will always hold a special place in my heart. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
