I, like the rest of us, am heartbroken and in shock. As well as a friend, Steve was one of my absolute favorite teachers. This photo is a quick shot I snuck in during one of our zoom classes. I was thrilled to continue to learn from him while on the opposite coast. What a blessing.
When I was sick with Covid, he was encouraging and genuinely cared. I hate that I was so caught up with life (new puppy, work, dealing with post Covid fatigue) lately that I didn’t know he was ill. I figured he was busy, but apparently he was sick. I know, I had no way to know, but it devastates me.
I carry Steve’s words, laugh, and memory with me always. Steve was such a light. I will miss his hilarious and unapologetic way of calling out people’s bull**** haha. I can hear him now ‘F***that, that’s bull****’, and he’d be right.
♥️
Sending so much love to his other friends and family.

PS -My puppy, Mannix(he gave her name the final stamp of approval), is acting wild this morning and I think it’s Steve’s doing so I can’t sit around and be sad.

My condolences to you...I was a friend and student too. I had no idea he was sick. Do we know the cause? I am absolutely heartbroken. I would've helped in any possible way. This is just a nightmare.
