Aishah had an amazing calming, peaceful and loving presence - coupled with strength, dignity and style. This was felt by all who were lucky enough to be around her. I hope her daughters/family know how much she was loved at Carolina Meadows by her co-workers and residents. Many of us gathered today to share stories and support each other and our community in our grief.
Although Aishah and I did not work directly together, we connected and I feel blessed and honored to have been her friend. I continue to hold Aishah as an inspiration in how I want to live and more importantly, how I want to be in the world. Sending love to her daughters, family and friends.
