For many years now, Uncle Bill has been my closest relative geographically and I've enjoyed the opportunities for our paths to cross in the Pacific Northwest - especially when he, Betty and Dee drove through Mt. St. Helens and I got to spend a night in the RV with them. Thank goodness for ear plugs!
I've also looked up to Bill as one of the only other members of the family who can swap stories of camping and hiking with me and have loved hearing of his many excursions over the years. Here is a picture of the last time I saw him in Seattle, when he met my daughter Stella, who was one month old at the time.
Rest in Peace, Uncle Bill, and thank you to everyone for sharing your stories of his life. ~Anne Shukla, daughter of Tom and Peg Basham
