Always attentive to whoever was speaking, always curious... Making the wittiest comments with that soft voice of his. I met him on his teens (this is a 1995 photograph, taken at Madrid's Retiro Park), on my teens... Friend of my brother, he became friend of my whole family. During several years he set himself a challenge: sending us from wherever he was travelling to the ugliest postcard he could find. Man, the things he was able to find! I won't be able to play Scrabble with him any longer, but I'm certain I will remember him everytime I open a Scrabble board... particularly when using the word "oxear", which he found very funny (and useful, when playing Scrabble). I'm very sad now, but it is impossible thinking about Alfonso and not smiling.
