I met Marylin almost 20 years ago and through all this time I was embraced by her endless loving care. Especially during the last 5 years in Sarasota, Marylin and I became very close. She was my friend, my Mom, my supporter and my best buddy to go out with to enjoy life. We spent great time together by going to concerts, movies, theaters, and of course dining and shopping. Among her favorite places to visit were Sarasota Orchestra, West-coast Black Theater troupe, The historic Asolo Theater, Cinebistro and Symphony on the Sand.
Every weekend, even during Covid lockdown, I would get from Marilyn the Ticket, a section of Sarasota's local newspaper with the latest entertainment news. I used to joke it was a Ticket to nowhere since were on lockdown but still was touched by her kindness. I always admired how she enjoyed meaningful entertainment.
Marylin also was the most stylish and classy women I've ever met. And the brightest part of her daily outfit always was her amazingly unique earrings. Together we shared our love of fashion, art, style, and good tasty food.
Marylin was smart, funny, optimistic, fearless and trusteful! She found the key to happiness and she was passing it on to her friends and family across generations. Mariyn's happiness attracted everyone, and I and my family and friends who met Marylin were touched forever by her encouraging attitude and love.
I miss my dear friend very much!
