Early Friday morning, February 11 our sweet and
Precious Brother, Ned Bibb, passed In to the arms of Jesus, our Lord and Savior after months of suffering IPF, Pulmonary Fibrosis. There will not be a service, however, we are planning a celebration of his life at a later date. He was 76 years and was a musician & singer with the original Band “The Distortions” in the fifties & sixties and at the Fairfield V.F. W for 15 years playing lead guitar and singer. He was the author of three books. He was preceded in death by his parents, Effie Sharpton Bibb and Curry Bibb, brother-in-law Jimmy Weekley, & sister-in-law Gisela Bibb. Survivors are his Wife, Mary Lee Griffin Bibb of Birmingham, sister, Edwadine (Dean) Bibb Weekley of Birmingham, two brothers, Garrett Bibb of, Tallahassee, Florida, and Calvert Bibb of Leeds. Four nephews, Garrett Edward Bibb, (Amelie) of Woodstock, Ga.,James Weekley, Jr. (Tina), Jason Weekley, & Nick Bibb, three nieces, Lori W. Egea (Eric), Dina W. Boyd & Tanja Bibb. One grand nephew, Nelson Boyd, five grand nieces, Amanda Boyd, Jamie Weekley, & Alison Weekley, Annaliese Bibb, & Isobel Bibb.
