Bring your most joyful memories with you as we celebrate Amel. A life lived so happily deserves a happy remembrance. We will gather to revel in the wonderful memories we have in common, and share those unknown as we enjoy learning more about his community of friends and family.
Just as he would want, the drinks and food will flow in the same manner as the conversation always has. The lighthearted event begins at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the Community of Christ church. We will serve his favorite dishes and decorate with some of his favorite things. Dress for a gathering of friends and family rather than a funeral. Please email Becky Gorman (beckygorman@icloud.com) and RSVP by Tuesday, October 4th.
Amel was passionate about volunteering. During the party we will have a canned food drive to support Owasso Community Resources (https://www.owassohelps.org), where he volunteered for many years. Monetary donations can be made via this page as well.

Very sorry for your loss. Most of my memories of Amel are from the England Family holiday gatherings. I remember Amel as a very thoughtful and insightful person. I remember him as not speaking a lot in those gatherings, but when he did, you would be wise to pay attention because his words were always meaningful.
I also have a distinct impression of him being a very dedicated husband and father.
Barb, one of my most lasting memories of Amel is from his eulogy at your Dad's funeral. I remember him talking about how much your Dad enjoyed being with his granddaughters, and how kind and gentle he was with them. I feel very confident that Amel demonstrated those same qualities to his granddaughters.
Thinking of you,
Tom Hall less
