OBITUARY
My name is Maddie McBride. L was a very good friend of mine, and she is the reason my senior year was so memorable. Instead of sharing a remembrance of her myself, I have created this memorial so that her friends and family can all share things that they loved and remember about L.

I can't say L and I were super close. She definitely had better friends than me. But that didn't stop her one bit from being an amazing person to me day in and day out. It all started in Junior year history class with nalbandians. She was a new student and it was a pretty full class, and the only open desk was right next to mine. I really didn't talk to many of the people in that class outside of it, but L, L was different. She had a way of making you smile no matter how bad your day had been going, which was great because we had history at the end of the day. I could ways count on L to pop a joke, or roast somebody in the class for saying something stupid. That was another talent she had. She was confident. She always stood by her words and her friends. I was honestly kinda sad when we left that class at the end of the semester. But then senior year hit, and we had the same study hall. I mean, it was more than just that period though. I got a lot of periods off because Spark would be cancelled for a day, or I would just ask to go do my work in the senior lounge. And every time I walked up and saw L dancing around or telling a joke, I knew I wasn't going to get any work done, but I didn't care. Just the way she had such an impact on everyone she met, it was unbelievable when I found out about her passing. I couldn't really believe it had happened, like a horrible dream I couldn't wake up from. It hit me so hard that someone like her would go so early. I will never forget all the joy she brought me. And I applaud her family and the people who raised her for what an incredible young woman they raised. less

She always had everyone laughing. Everyday at lunch she would hate on all of the music I would play but somehow still sang all of the words, lunch with her and our other friends were my favorite memories of L, and my senior year. She always got her work in English done before me and would always help me when I was struggling and cheer me up in that class, I appreciated her so much and I am so thankful to have had her in my life. I would look forward to that class everyday because of her. She was one of the funniest people I have ever met and I will never forget all the laughs we had and the impact she had on my life. She was kind, incredibly smart, funny, and a good friend. I will miss her and her smile always 💙 less
