Carolyn Wilhite Grant, 84, of Stafford, TX, transititioned on, Friday, May 8th, 2020 at Harbor Hospice in Houston, TX. She was born September 16th, 1935, in Patterson, Mississippi, to Jim (Jimmy) Yarber (nee Yarder) and Estella Bryant.
She was a loving Mother, Wife, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Friend. Most that met her immediately connected with her and her loving, generous spirit.
Surviving her are 4 daughters, Ada Bridgeman, Elsie Spann, Johnnie Ruth Briston, and Tracey Emory, and one son Andre Grant. Also surviving her are many grand-children and great grand-children.
Two sons, Floyd Washington (1977) & Fzelle Grant, Jr. (2013) and One daughter, Geral Burnette (2012), preceded her in death.
She loved to cook and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and playing card games. She enjoyed kids, becoming a foster mother & foster grandparent.
Our Mother desired to be cremated, with some of her ashes spreaded in Atlanta, Kansas City, Houston and Port Gibson (where she considered home).
One of our favorite places to visit was Lubyโs in Houston, Texas. The best trip we took was to Tennessee. The dinner cruise was so fun! I love you, Ma! I miss you already.
