My daughter's other mother; my retirement ride or die partner in da game of life. I started a sentence and she'd finish. We played word games using one word clues because we understood each other so well. Our eye contact, when we couldn't speak out loud and the louder laughter which followed ... My secrets never left her vault; but her grin about what I'd done, filled the room. My jokes left her in stitches; tears rolled down her cheeks as her chest raised; and she gagged with screams. The baby, I was raised to take care of her ... I have no regrets. My heart knows unselfish love because my Sis loved me without criticism. May peace be forever in your rest. Loving from earth until I can embrace you in Heaven...

I wanted to give a treatment for Celeste and you. I know In This Moment that Celeste has made her transition in her own time and she is surrounded by light and joy peace. Her spirit is at peace and is with joy and is Limitless. She's with Rhonda laughing about the time they didn't leave New Orleans before the hurricane and remembering the good times we had at Lake Tahoe for Elaine's birthday the laughter will always live in us. Celeste is pure light and she is with us always, we love you Celeste and so it is amen.

May the Lord continue to bless and comfort you. I think I'm still in denial. My sister, my friend can't be gone. We met in 1969 on our way to school and have been inseparable ever since that day. We could look at each other and know what the other was thinking. We kept each others secrets, laughed and cried together. Through all of those years I don't remember us ever having a disagreement. Celeste is the most kindhearted, generous person you could ever know and she never asked for anything in return. She has provided me with so many memories and for that I am thankful. I sit and cry and then I smile thinking about some of our "adventures." I know as I get older there are things that I am bound to forget, but I pray that I never forget my friend, my sister. I will never have another friend like her and I thank God for allowing her to be in my life.
Celeste, your secrets are still safe.

NO ONE ever had a bad or negative thing to say about her. She always greeted everyone with that great infectious smile. Her positive attitude even penetrated my deep negativity. My lasting thought of my wonderful sister was when she tripped on the back porch when we lived on Ashland Ave...and fell to the concrete sidewalk below. After the four of us saw that she was ok, we could not stop laughing and she laughed right along with us.
Celeste was very bad on stairs. But that was her only fault...Love you sis and already missing your beautiful smile❤️❤️❤️
Love you,

Celeste loved your wedded bliss! She thought the two if you were like the topping on the cake. She followed your classes in FB and would tell me how much she enjoyed it. Thank you, Deeva, for making my sister feel involved!
I always could tell that the tie that united you and Celeste was so much more than your caregiving with her health challenges. Reading this beautiful obituary proves that. When I wasn't with my mother, I was with my aunt. We spent a lot of time binging and bonding over tv shows like Seinfeld or soap operas and restaurants like Bennigan's and Chili's. It was during these times that I learned a lot about her. From her love of various genres of music (Barry Manilow anyone??) to her dislike of birds (she once ghosted me at a pet store because the birds were out on perches).
Auntie was also a big game show and board game fan. Whether it was Jeopardy, Password or Cash Cab, auntie was always ready with an answer to any trivia question. I was always amazed at how she was so knowledgeable about so many topics. In addition to being a "Quiz Queen", Auntie loved playing board games. It wasn't a party without playing a round of Scrabble, UpWords or Taboo with auntie leading the charge.
These fun moments were just a few of the great memories that I have of my aunt. Her vibrancy and smile could never be replaced. Though i am sad that she is no longer here, I know that she will always be with me.
