Lieutenant Commander Chikezie Okoro NN/2867 was born March 23, 1982 to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Okoro, indigenes of Lohun Imenyi in Ebonyi State, Nigeria.

He had his secondary school education at the prestigious Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Navy Town, Ojo. From there, he proceeded to the Nigerian Defence Academy where he excelled and graduated as Commissioned Officer of the Nigerian Navy in September 2006.

He is survived by his dad, siblings and close relatives amongst whom are the Ogbonnayas; a family he spent a major part of his life growing up with.

Lt. Cdr. Okoro would always be remembered for his loyalty, humility, hardworking and vibrant personality. He was loved and admired by his family, friends and military colleagues. 

Our "Commander of Enjoyment" death may have taken you away from us but it could never take your memories away. You will always be in our hearts.
