We created a GatheringUs memorial to celebrate the life of Christopher William Kotila. If you have a memory, story, or picture to share, it would bring us great comfort if you could do so here.
In loving memory of Christopher William Kotila
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our brother Chris who passed away on December 4, just days after his 60th birthday, from complications of a massive stroke.
Chris will be remembered for his kindness, intelligence, generosity, and sense of humor. He deeply loved nature, animals, music, and the people in his life. He was always interested in learning new things and telling people (often in great detail) about the things he learned. He loved to deconstruct and reconstruct machinery of all kinds, and he enjoyed building and fixing things. He was happiest when he was on a boat fishing with friends.
Chris is survived by his sisters Cindy Kotila Ohly, Heidi Kotila Krebs, Wendy Kotila, Nikole Kotila-Connors, and Kerry Kotila Burleson. In accordance with his wishes, his body has been donated to science, and his cremated remains will be scattered.
If you have memories, stories, or photos to share, we’d greatly appreciate it.
