Cynthia Lawson was all these things and infinitely more. Polite and soft-spoken, petite in stature, and completely devoid of bluster or bravado, she still managed to be a larger-than-life personality, thanks to her relentlessly upbeat attitude, infectious smile, and an uncanny ability to make everyone around her feel loved and special. She treated total strangers like family and could talk to anyone with ease for hours on end. And one of the things that made her so special and easy to talk to is that she honestly liked to listen and get to know people as much as she liked to talk, herself. 30 minutes after meeting her, one would likely feel like they'd known her their entire life. The thing that she offered to everyone she crossed paths with was simple and basic, but also increasingly rare in today's world... sincere warmth and kindness. She chose to see the best in everything and everyone, and was quick to offer compliments, affirmations, and words of encouragement to just about everyone she encountered. This was not a veneer... it was the core tenet of her being. She led by example and ALWAYS put the needs of others before her own. Despite being a tiny and humble figure, she left an inarguably large mark in her wake and her presence will be sorely missed. Once an angel on Earth, she is now and forevermore an angel in Heaven and can at last spread her wings.
I love Mrs. Lawson. We both started at Heizer the same year in 2012. She was one of the most amazing, and friendliest women I've ever known. I sure miss seeing her daily at Heizer. Continued prayers to the family!!💜
