Daniel C. Hengerer USN (Ret) of The Villages, FL, passed away November 19, 2022 (age 70). Dan, son of George and Patricia Hengerer, was raised in Western NY. He enlisted in the United States Navy after high school and valued this service highly. Dan attained the rank of Command Master Chief and retired from the
Navy with 30 years of dedicated service. After his military retirement, Dan relocated to Rota Spain where he worked as a Civil Servant until he fully retired in 2017 in Florida with his wife Dorene.
Dan’s loved ones will remember his fun loving spirit and down to earth advice, as he cultivated many lifelong friendships along the way. You could find him on the golf course a few times a week, working on SSRs, hanging out with his buddies, and traveling. Dan was also a long time bowler and a member of the Professional Bowlers Association. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Yankees and Buffalo Bills.
Dan's life will forever be remembered by his wife, Dorene; two daughters, Stacy and Jamie; step-children Nikki, Mark, Melissa, Amber, Erica, Tony, Ashly; siblings Ellen, Phillip, Raymond; 22 grandchildren, and his former wife Elizabeth.
A Celebration of Life will be held for friends and family at The Colony Recreation Center in The Villages, Florida on April 29th from 2-4 PM.
CMDCM, Daniel C. Hengerer was a proud veteran who loved his family and country. A military service honoring his life will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington DC later this year, date pending.
