DARLAINE MARIE MARTINEZ, age 86, passed into the arms of her Savior, surrounded by family, on June 7, 2021 at Avow Hospice in Naples, Florida.  She resided in Taylor, Michigan and Naples, Florida. 

Darlaine was born June 19, 1934 in Billings, Montana.  She graduated from St. Francis De Sales High School.

Darlaine married Thomas Stevenson on September 4, 1954 and raised 6 children together: D’Anne (Terry) Kriesel, Mark (Margaret) Stevenson, Kathleen (Tim) Scheib, Shawn (Ron Snook) Stevenson, Mary (Joel) Kennedy and Veronica (Lynn Postel) Peterson-Stevenson.

She married Justo Martinez on November 11, 1989. His children are Alex (Janet) Martinez, Elsie (Rick) Fitzpatrick and Michelle (Ed) Phillips.

Darlaine enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, gardening, exercising, and especially loved the Lord.  She was blessed with 20 grandchildren: Amy Stevenson, Jesse (Jeannine) Kriesel, Chris (Katie O) Scheib, Katie Scheib, Andrew (Mercedes) Kriesel, Eric (Cristina) Fredrickson, Rory (Kendra) Fredrickson, Dustin (Tara) Fitzpatrick, Sarah (Shawn) Klug, Kallie (Sam) Brown, Zach (Maddie) Phillips, Karli Peterson, Tanner Snook, Emma Kennedy, Hunter Phillips, Michael Martinez, Dean Ford and Jacob Ford.

She also had 11 Great-Grandchildren:  Mia Fredrickson, Finnegan Martinez, Ariara Martinez, Charleigh Martinez, Brianna Fredrickson, Aria Fredrickson, Luka Fredrickson, Jane Kriesel, Mishka Kriesel, Emma Grace Kriesel, Clara Brown, Darlaine Kennedy and Charlie Scheib.

Darlaine was preceded in death by grandsons Thomas Stevenson and Cody Fitzpatrick, brother James Dugan, and sister Donna “Kay” Skoglund, all of whom are deeply missed.  She is survived by her husband Justo, brother, Dennis (Sue) Dugan and Brother-in-law, Lon Skoglund.
