After a long arduous fight David Harris has been laid to rest! He was a tender hearted man who loved his family. A social butterfly with a great sense of humor ( he of humor (he called it Level 3) and a zest for life! He spent all his adult life as a carpenter and a general contractor. He also had a love for music and could tell you all the band members and songs from his favorite bands. He will be missed by so many, but the memories... see more

Kindhearted and mischievous with a smile that could light up a room and more, he will forever be in our hearts. This photo is a favorite memory when he snuck up behind me at a family event as a photo was being taken. My earliest memories of Uncle David were at the family chicken ranch in Rialto. The baby of the family, he was still living at home with Grandma and Grandpa after his siblings had left. Undoubtedly the coolest member of the family, I remember him saddling up a pony for me to ride.
I love you, Uncle David. Thank you for the warmth and laughter you brought into our lives. We will miss you dearly.❤️ less

I have known you for over 30 years and you have affected how I look at the world more than I knew! I will always remember many great times with only a few being:
Meeting you for the first time while you sat on me during play when I was goalie and wanting to push me around because I hit you with my stick to get off.
Setting up field nets in the late 80's at Cal Cup with Hargett and a bunch U-14 kids that I drove back to Ventura in a stick shift for the first time. While you went out with Hargett.
Having a cocktail or two in the Berkeley while you were staying up there.
Seeing that Smiling face to play Hockey with on RATB the I moved back to Southern California.
Telling me why we had the fence around the field and knowing we all protected FAMILY inside that fence.
Giving a Player Religion late in your playing days.
You were alway the one who just got it done as I could see and I learned a lot from that. Let's not talk about doing it lets just do it!!!
Dave, you were an awesome dude. I'll remember my first days out in Moorpark for hockey and how you were always a good friend. You walked the walk and were a great ambassador for the game. Condolences to the Harris family, thoughts are with you. Rest easy

He was hilarious!!! We shared some big laughs at Hayashi family gatherings. He was always so entertaining to be around and had a twinkle in his bright blue eyes to go with his big smile (that lit up his whole face!) Rest In Peace, David! You will be greatly missed by all who knew you! less

His one-of-a-kind grin would light up a room and warm people’s hearts and spirits. Dave’s big, engaging, bright smile was matched only by his big personality, quick-witted humor, and ever-present impish twinkle in his eyes. Dave was always someone to look to when needing help. He came to the rescue many times when ceilings leaked, pipes broke, or anything needed to be fixed. Dave will always be adored. less
