Your job then was to train me on basic IT skills to enable me to perform basic website maintenance tasks for PAMCA. We clicked immediately and we soon became mutual friends. When I was last in Nairobi, we met and had coffee. Of course, ideas around PAMCA website were a constant component of our animated discussions, but I was always looked forward to meeting a friend whom I hadn’t seen in a while. We were always obsessed with grand ideas of how to improve the website, and you took it as your personal goal to bring these ideas to life. Soft-spoken and smart, you taught me the essential ‘hacks’ of web maintenance. I never thought for a moment that that would be the last I would see of you. You were so young and talented, the pride of your family and peers, an invaluable asset to the whole nation. Since learning of your heart-breaking departure, the memories of our last meeting have constantly played in my mind. It’s difficult to have it sink it that you’re no more. I’m trying. It is heart-breaking. Go with the angels Denis, may your soul rest in eternal peace. May God remember the family you have left behind and give them strength, your wife, your parents, your siblings, all those who knew you and interacted with you. less
