We have created this GatheringUs.com memorial to honor & celebrate the life of our beloved sister Diane Marie Dalton who was born on September 25, 1946 and passed from natural causes on April 6, 2020. She is the daughter of Jack and Teddy Dalton of Hartland, Michigan. Her older brother Art-deceased (Grace); and younger surviving siblings Carol (Chris), Douglas (Pat), Howard (Ingrid), and Sherrie (Tom) are honoring her with this on-line, living memorial where family, friends, and others may enter their thoughts, prayers, memories, pictures, and videos so that we may all appreciate her lifetime in memories. We love and miss her deeply and are in the process of planning a live gathering TBA (possibly with a virtual one to include those who cannot attend). The family welcomes and is comforted from contributions by way of your comments and pictures of Diane as testimony to the joy she has brought to our lives. I found a prayer Diane inserted in a bible and was sent to me on June 26, 2006: She wrote, “Brother Doug, what a nice prayer.”
Hello God, I called tonight to talk a little while
I need a friend who’ll listen to my anxiety and trial
You see, I cannot quite make it through a day just on my own
I need your love to guide me so I’ll never feel alone
I want to ask you please to keep my family safe and sound
Come and fill their lives with confidence for whatever fate their bound
Give me faith dear God to face each hour throughout the day
And not to worry over things I can’t change in any way
I thank you God for being home and listening to my call
For giving me such good advice when I stumble and fall
Your number God is the only one that answers every time
I never get a busy signal, never had to pay a dime
So thank you God for Listening to my troubles and my sorrow
Good night God, I love you too and I’ll call again tomorrow
I am comforted knowing that God has called on Diane
