Don passed away at his home on Sunday September 6th, 2020. Family and close friends were able to say goodbye as he prepared for his journey into God's Kingdom. He was a man of faith and had no fear of what awaited him when the angels came to take him home. His kindness, wit, love and strength will leave a lasting memory on the ones who had a chance to know him and his spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
Due to safety concerns of the ongoing pandemic, we have decided not to have an in person service. The family hopes that this page will serve as an ongoing legacy full of stories shared by those who knew him. Donald "Don" Krauss, of Tega Cay, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, September 6th 2020.
Don was born in Norristown, PA on February 2nd, 1941. He was a proud alumni of Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, VA. After graduation, he left for Charlotte, NC to begin a long career in both radio and television broadcasting. Some stations he worked for included WIST, WCCB and WOLO (Columbia,SC). As a man who enjoyed giving back, he taught and managed the Carolina School of Broadcasting for 7 years. Over time, his voice could be heard on many radio shows and commercials including ones for Tyndall Furniture Galleries, where he worked for many years as a salesman.
Don is survived by his wife, Linda, daughter Tina Krauss Keisler, son Shawn Krauss and grandson Bojack Dawson.
