We created this memorial to celebrate the life of Dr. Tali T Bashour. We are all blessed to have him in our lives and recognize that he also touched the lives of so many others.
An outstanding practicing physician for 50 years, he helped countless people heal and continue their lives. His passion for education made him an excellent clinical professor at UCSF and led to over 100 clinical publications as well as a widely accessible book. He loved to see people live long, fruitful, healthful, and meaningful lives.
Community and Family were the main pillars of Dr. Tali Bashour's life. He was always the protector and provider for his loved ones, keeping close ties with his home village, long after moving across the world on an academic scholarship to George Washington Medical. He mentored the next generation of physicians as a professor, as a colleague, and as the first Dean of Medicine at the Balamand University.
He was a Renaissance man and a lover of beauty. He was a talented painter, videographer of flowers, music connoisseur and instrumentalist. He sang songs of love, played piano, oud, and accordion. He traveled the world he loved, sharing is expertise, time and healing. He traveled and contributed to the world he loved by sharing his time, expertise, and healing.
We will miss him and the impact of his love has left the world a better place.
