I remember sitting at her dining room table, playing go-fish. Playing out in the front yard by the crabapple tree and walks down to the lake to play on the beach.

The facility was in Lock Down. for the Covid-19 Virus. But, I was able to knock on her window and
talk loud..... On the first day she was in Isolation, I found an old gate,
and a handful of artificial flowers to made her a garden, with a sign that said
"I LOVE YOU' It made her laugh. I want to keep that memory. I drove to the Nursing
Home yesterday, and brought it home to my yard. I can see it from my kitchen window. less

I remember clearly our growing up years at Lake Shawnee. We had the best life kids could have. Russ and I leaned to swim from our dock, and you followed in the canoe if we needed to hold on and rest. (We swam to swimming lessons every day. We caught fish and turtles and brought them home to keep as pets. You even helped feed them.
Carl and I had two boys and you shared the farm life with us. We added your Mom (Momma Gussie) to the farm family and we loved having her live with us. You spent weekends with us and even went to horse shows. I remember one horse show where you showed up to surprise me. (It was Mother's Day). This Mother's Day we will be different. We will miss your dearly, but will also celebrate the wonders of YOU. You will be in everyone's hearts. I am so proud to call you my MOM. less
