On October 23, 2020, at 87, the heart of our beloved Mama and Babushka, Iraida Oraevskaya, has stopped beating. For the past 7 years, she has fought steadily against the dimensia and wrestle for her life to the last second.
Sometimes such steadfastness of her character was confused with deliberate rudeness, but each time, everybody who have been given an opportunity to get to now her better, were surprised at Iraida's purposefulness, kindness, warmth and love that she gave to those close to her.
Iraida has gone a long way in life, becoming the center of the crystallization of a large family, a family with no geographical boundaries, where children, relatives and close friends live in almost all corners of the globe from Russia to the United States of America and Canada, France, India, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Spain.
Iraida was not only a caring mother, grandma beloved by her grandchildren, she was first of all a wonderful wife who lived together for almost 50 years with her husband, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Professor Anatoly Nikolayevich Oraevsky (1934-2003), pioneer of Quantum Electronics, who discovered and gave the world theories of the chemical laser, superconductivity and many other break-through technologies.
Having passed a long working career from a student of Moscow Financial University to the head of the financial department of the largest Institute of the development and planing of Medicine in Russia, Iraida in her 70th and 80th was active honorary contributor and member of the coordination committee of the Digital Brain Research Foundation (www.dbrf.org).
It is difficult to find words, the loss cannot be replenished. Mama please know that you will forever live in our memory, in our hearts. We all love you very, very much!
