On April 30, 2023, Jack Thomas Anderson, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 78.
Jack lived the American dream. From humble beginnings in Cleveland, OH, to traveling the world and living life to its fullest.
Growing up, Jack shared a 672 square foot home with five people. As a teenager, he forged his own path by doing maintenance work and washing trucks for 75 cents an hour. By age 20, he was married to his loving wife, Linda, working multiple jobs, attending night school, and had saved up enough money to buy his first home. Drive and ambition were the cornerstones of his success. One year after his daughter was born, he played an instrumental role in the inception of a new company, which he grew until he retired. NPK Construction is still a flourishing business to this day.
Jack and Linda were married for over 56 years. They always enjoyed an active and eventful lifestyle. Their community in Ocean Isle Beach, NC was full of friends, family, dogs, and golf. In 2017, they moved to Charlotte to be closer to their grandsons. Jack was an involved and caring father, father-in-law, and grandfather.
After losing his wife, he was able to find happiness again with Lou Roberts. They had recently married, bought a new home together, and made many plans for the future. Jack went out happy, and on top—just like his favorite TV show, Seinfeld. His only regret is likely never seeing the Cleveland Browns achieve greatness.
Jack is survived by his wife Lou, his daughter Keara, son-in-law John, five grandchildren Kyler, Jace, Liam, Adalie and Faith, his brother Tim, and his sister-in-law Tess.
A funeral service and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 6 at Heritage Funeral Home in Matthews, NC. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the March of Dimes or Feeding Pets of the Homeless.
