On May 23, 2020, Jackie Lynn Triplett Sr., devoted husband and father, passed away at the age of 83.
He was born on October 5, 1936, to Clarkson Howard Triplett and Sarah Blanche Bean in Cambridge, Nebraska. Growing up as a little boy, Jackie loved helping his father work on the farm every day until he left to serve in the military right after high school.
Jackie was preceded in death by his father, Clarkson Howard Triplett, his mother, Sarah Blanche Bean, his sister, Sara Annabelle Krewson, and his brother, Ronald Wayne Triplett. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Rose, and his six children: Blanche, Donna (Mike), Sandra, Jack Jr. (Gilda), Dean (Kornelia), and Mary (Steve), 16 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Jack is an honored three-tour veteran of the Vietnam War. He proudly served in both the United States Navy and the United States Air Force. After working as an aircraft mechanic for over 45 years, he retired in 1977 in Lacey, Washington.
Jack’s life will be forever remembered and cherished by everyone who had the opportunity to know him. He was a loving and dedicated husband and father and he committed his love to God and his Country. Jackie’s love for Jesus led him to become a prayer warrior for his church. His favorite saying “shalom” is a Hebrew word meaning peace, harmony, wholeness, completeness, prosperity, welfare, and tranquility. Jackie had a quick wit, a soft chuckle, and loved to tell stories of the good old days to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Jackie Lynn Triplett Sr. will rest in peace at Tahoma National Cemetery and receive military honors with a 21-gun salute. There will be a Life Celebration for Jackie held on August 3, 2020 at one o’clock pm at Capital Christian Center, 4431 Martin Way E, Olympia, WA 98516.
