When we think about all the things we love about James it makes us smile. He loved talking to everyone, many family gatherings were spent talking about what was going on in our lives and current affairs (especially politcs). A quick trip to Canadian Tire, the bank or pharmacy James would be calling out "hey chief" and checking up on all the people he knows there. James loved all things automotive and helped everyone keep their car in top running performance. He loved being busy, even after retirement he was still helping his friends in their own business, lugging HVAC units onto building tops and deep into cramped basements. James was a storyteller sharing funny stories of growing up in Barbados from sneaking off to drive "the old man's truck" and returning it without gas at the age of nine, to how people got their nicknames.
Father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend he has impacted so many lives. Memories of James will live on forever.

He was in some way related to my Aunt Veda of whom i lived with for a while. He would visit on occasion and we became friends. I could see from the beginning that he was a man of integrity. James helped me in landing my first Job here in Canada of which i am truly greatful to this day. After 2 years of working together, I left the company to return to my field of HVAC, but as friends, we kept in touch over the years. After he retired, he would accompany me on many job sites where we had fun working together. He enjoyed meeting people and sharing stories or opinion on various topics.
He had many stories to share. Stemming from his days of growing up back home in Barbados to moving to Canada and the various jobs he had. A lot of which were funny. He was very much passionate about cars and was always willing to lend advice. I remember he had an oldsmobile that he just didnt want to part with {lol} and was always finding stuff to fix on it as this was his passion. James was a true friend and will definitely be missed. Farewell to my good friend, James Walcott,
who passed away last week in Brampton, Ontario.
Very sad to see you go but now you are in a better place
and the fond memories will always be there of when we
were small, playing bat and ball in the Endeavour Gap, later
telling jokes on the school bus from Orange Hill to Bridgetown
and much later dining out in Brampton, sitting in my back yard in
Toronto and you once driving from Brampton to Pearson Interna-
tional airport on a blustery rainy night just to wish me bon
voyage on my trip back to Barbados. You will be sorely missed my
friend, but rest in peace and fly with the angels.
My heartfelt condolences to all your friends and family
in Barbados, Canada and beyond. less
