Journey of Life
Jim’s life journey began in Willowick, Ohio on April 13, 1958. Born to Lewis and Elsie Clark the family moved to Southern California along with his sisters Sharon, Beverly, and Mary in 1959. After graduating from Pomona High School, he enlisted in the Army. After returning home from his duty, he met his best friend and forever love-Amy. Jim and Amy were married in September of 1978 in Boise, Idaho and started their life together. They moved back to California, and shortly thereafter, welcomed their daughter Kristy and son Jim Jr., knowing they always wanted to move back to Idaho. The Clark’s returned to Idaho in 1990 and ventured into the restaurant business. They spent the next several years raising their kids. Many Springs were spent coaching little league and softball, stemming from Jim’s love of sports and competitive nature.
Jim loved to camp with his family and friends, enjoying everything Idaho had to offer. Jim’s passion for hitting the open road and the wind in his face led to many motorcycle adventures. One of the most memorable being a trip to Sturgis, SD in 2003 where Jim and Amy renewed their vows in celebration of their 25th Anniversary. Jim’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to open Boise Print in 2002. He proudly served his customers until 2016 when he sold the business and retired. Retirement brought him the joy having the time to devote to making their home in Kuna a slice of paradise. Jim thrived on hosting family and friends for cookouts and gatherings by the pool. Annual trips to Mexico are what got him through the long cold Idaho winters. A music lover, Jim’s numerous playlists consisted of a variety of genres with Rock n’ Roll being a constant. Jim was a dog lover, there was never a time in his life without the companionship of a dog. Kindness was second nature to Jim. He would often stop and help people in need. Jim never passed up the opportunity to pull a good prank. Jim was never afraid to speak his mind, he was often referred to as REAL.
A Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Granpee, Uncle, Coach, Colleague, Patriot, Mentor, and a Friend. At the age of 63 Jim was taken from us too soon. On September 19, 2021, Jim’s journey ended. Jim will forever be in our hearts.
Jim’s legacy will carry on through his wife, Amy Clark, his daughter, Kristy and life partner Paul, his son, Jim Jr and life partner Ann Marie, granddaughter, Melody, his sisters Beverly and Mary along with many family members and everlasting friendships.
