Milton – Jo Ann Bartlett Poquette, 66, passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 21, 2020 at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester.
Jo Ann was born on March 27, 1954 in Burlington the daughter of Ernest and Barbara (Towle) Bartlett. She had lived and worked most of her life in Milton. She enjoyed gardening, collecting stones & fossils, and her cats. In her earlier years, Jo Ann loved picking wild flowers and berries with her Mom. She was very proud of her independence and of her ability to buy her own home. She cared for others immensely, had wonderful friends and helped many people. Jo Ann enjoyed being outside in nature, being near Lake Champlain and especially going to White’s Beach.
She was a proud Vermonter and most importantly was proud to see her children and grandchildren grow up. She was a loving mother and becoming a grandmother was one of her greatest gifts.
Jo Ann is survived by her sons Derek Poquette and his wife Krista of Burlington and Luke Poquette and his wife Lynn of St. Albans, her grandchildren Riley, Noah, Joel, Amber & Skylar, her brothers Stephen Bartlett and his wife Pam of Williston and John Bartlett and his wife Kristen of Milton, and by her cherished nieces and nephews Heather Ferrara and her husband Dean, Bill Bartlett and his wife Kerrie, Addysen, Katie and Alex Bartlett.
She was predeceased by her parents.
The family would like to thank her home hospice nurses as well as everyone at the McClure Miller Respite House for the incredible care she received.

Graveside services will be held at the family cemetery in Franklin, Vermont on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 11:00 am.
