Josh was a beloved and devoted husband, stepfather, son, brother, cousin, nephew, grandson, and friend. He was born on January 6, 1974 in Manhasset, NY and grew up in Roslyn, NY. He graduated from Roslyn High School and received his B.S. degree from the University of Delaware. After marrying his wife, Allison, on March 22, 2009 Josh lived in Patchogue, NY until his passing on November 16, 2020. Those of us who were lucky enough to know him will always remember his contagious smile, his larger than life personality, and his heart of gold.

Josh was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder in his early 20s. He was determined to maintain normalcy in his life, and largely succeeded through resolve, patience, and persistence. With the help of his doctor and unwavering love and support from his family and his wife, Josh got the illness under control. He was able to enjoy a full and rich life, meet the woman of his dreams, share in raising his beloved stepdaughter, combine two loving families, work with his father at the University Animal Hospital, and spend quality time with the people he loved the most.

Josh enjoyed gourmet meals with Allison (at home or at one of their favorite restaurants), time outdoors and at the beach, trips to Florida, summers at Camp Birchmont and following the Mets, Knicks, Islanders, and despite everything, the Jets. He loved fantasy football, daily conversations with Ian, spending time with his grandparents (Dave & Ruthie and Seymour & Clare) and with his two cats (Bond and Bailey), listening to hip hop music, and re-watching personal movie classics like The Goonies, Coming to America, and the Bond films for the umpteenth time. 

Most notably, family was everything to Josh. He offered unconditional love and support to his immediate family, his extended family, and his many friends.

After living with Bipolar Disorder for 25 years, Josh was taken from us by the illness. We know that this was far from what Josh wanted. We miss him more than we can put into words. We will make sure his legacy lives on through stories, memories, photos, and the love he instilled in us all.
