Brother Elliott was one of my biggest cheerleaders when it came to my photography at the church and personal. Gods light shined brightly in you and you shared that with me! We shared an apartment together with Carl and Don for 10 months. All of the pictures below are from that year together. We also shared an apartment with Cyrus after we moved to New Brunswick, NJ in 1987. I have very fond memories of Jos. Being from another country, it was interesting to hear how he pronounced certain words and he didn't always understand American culture so there were some interesting and humorous times related to that. He was a good guitar player and loved to worship. He loved the Lord and enjoyed regular conversations about God and spiritual topics. He definitely was on a different time schedule than me. I could often hear him playing guitar long after I went to bed. Even in NJ, I would get calls in the middle of the night as if he expected me to be up and about. He was always the best dressed among us. Jos was a good friend and although it has been many years since I last saw him, he still holds a special place in my wife Kathy's and my heart and we will miss him.
Maura, Sonja, Jon and Mike, our prayers go out to you and your family. May you sense God's peace and comfort as you walk through this time. less
