I am honored to join you in celebrating Judy's life. She was someone who was immensely dear to me, our family, and I know she was for you-all. I am honored to join you in celebrating Judy's life. She was someone who was immensely dear to me, our family, and I know she was for you-all. Judy was a kick, she savored life and was happy, funny, and purposeful. Judy was a fighter as you well know in a whole lot of ways. After beating the odds and fighting liver disease for 30 years and liver cancer for three years, Judy miraculously, like Lazarus, rose from near death to move across the country to be with family. I am sure she died with love in her heart and at peace. Miss Judy was one tough cookie. Despite her frail body, Judy maintained a strong loyalty to friends and family. She was comforting to be around and if you were with Judy, you knew you would be at ease and well-fed. Judy was smart, funny, and engaging. Her humor was infectious as was her laugh. Sometimes she drove people crazy, but it's crazy that she is no longer with us. She could have suffered a lot more with her liver condition and by God's grace, she passed quickly and is now at peace. We are going to miss her. She wanted our last memory of her to be celebratory, so let's celebrate her life together.

River
Patty Griffin, Craig Ross
Isn't she a river?
She doesn't need a diamond to shine
You can't really have her
But you can hold her for a time
Takes an army just to bend her, be careful where you send her
You can't hold her back for long
The river is just too strong
She's a river
Arms made out of silver
Moving in a crooked line
Carrying some dreamer
Off into the end of time
You don't need to save her
Or teach her to behave, just let her arms unwind
Ever-changing and undefined
She's a river
You can ride easy when she's slow
Run across her when she low
Follow wherever she goes
She's a river
Run for cover when she's mad
Drown in her tears when days are bad
Don't you ever forget it then
She's a river
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Isn't she a river?
She doesn't… less
