It is with profound sadness that we mourn the unexpected passing of Kaitlyn Elizabeth Schiesser on March 3, 2023 at the age of 36. She will lovingly be remembered by her husband, Dan Schiesser of 7 years.
Kaitlyn was born in Rochester, Michigan on June 15, 1986. She was raised in Imlay City, Michigan, after high school Kaitlyn graduated from Grand Valley State University and later moved to Dallas, Texas with her husband and their dog, Mia.
She is survived by her mother Sharon Ahrens, her father Dr. Kenneth (Judy) Ahrens, oldest brother Kyle (Melanie) Ahrens, youngest brother Kevin (Kassie) Ahrens, half sister Madison (Chase) Baxendale, her grandfather William Ahrens, many aunts, uncles, cousins, mother in law Cleire Schiesser, father in law Ricardo Schiesser, and sister in law Rita Schiesser. Kaitlyn lived her life for her family and loved them dearly. Her nieces and nephews (Kameron, Peyton, Kenslee, Kenton, Knox) were the light of her life. She was an amazing wife, dog mom, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, colleague and friend.
She was fiercely passionate and devoted to her work family at Birdie Box, where she will be dearly missed by her friends and colleagues. She had many friends that embraced her infectious smile, laughter and kindness. We all loved Kaitlyn, she touched the lives of so many. Kaitlyn will be truly missed and never ever forgotten.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Centerpoint Church on April 15, 2023 in Kalamazoo, Michigan at 12:00pm. Family and friends are invited to come share memories and stories to help us remember Kait and her beautiful smile.
