Keith L. DeBeer died peacefully near family on May 5th, 2019 in Portland, Oregon. He was 76 years old.
Keith was born November 6, 1942 in Corsica, South Dakota to his parents John and Marie DeBeer. Keith attended high school and university in South Dakota. Following his education, Keith moved west, eventually settling in Sequim, Washington while spending significant amount of time in Jackson Hole, WY and Gig Harbor, WA.
While in Gig Harbor, Keith met his life-long partner Carol Chalk whom shared his love for good food and spending time with friends and family. The two of them spent decades running a successful business together helping families and business throughout the Olympic Peninsula.
From early in life until his death, Keith enjoyed the outdoors spending a significant amount of time on his passions of hunting, fishing, gardening, Carol and his dogs and animals, and sheep dog trials.
His life is being celebrated by his life long partner of 40 years, Carol, his sister Dorothy DeBeer, his two nieces Lisa Bailey and Laura Vanderwerff. Also very important to Keith were his two nephews Jameson Bailey and Dylan Vanderwerff- Duvall and two nieces, Madilyn Bailey and Marie Vanderwerff- Duvall.
In addition, Keith’s life is also currently being celebrated by friends and family from all walks of his life including: high school, Servo Pro /work related, neighbors, Northwest Water Fowler, Port Angeles Gun club, numerous healthcare providers through the Olympic Peninsula and Seattle and other extended family in California, Arizona and Oregon.
