We were having breakfast at the Inn at Bath and later found we had so much more in common! We had moved here escaping bad health diagnoses, we had a Balkan connection, a Connecticut past, and similar family dynamics as children. Kelly was like a big sister to me and we shared so many jokes and late night phone calls. We even watched the Devil Wears Prada together in separate homes over our phones commenting the whole time, giggling like young kids. We’d seen it a hundred times. Kelly was so proud of Nina and we often talked about her career successes in the context of our favorite Vogue movie and when talking about shopping and accessories and fashion. Our paths diverged later and I, an atheist, became very religious after a near death experience and she reinvented her life as an actress. We only met a few times after that and then she moved away...but I always remember Kelly with the excited fun a kid feels at a party. I wish I had realized that she was getting worse but I had no idea. There are many happy memories I will not forget but I wish I could have been there for her at the end. She was a bright light and a talented person and I will really miss her. less

Kelly and Michael bought the 1780's home that was the Lipfert family home from 1963 to 1994. We were able to share the history of the house and land with them and appreciated that they valued where they had chosen to live. We shared many pleasant times on their porch, at the cabin on the shore on the river and a couple of trips on their boat. But it was on Christmas Eve that we neighbors would get together share a libation, exchange neighborly presents and spent some time together. Our sincere condolences to the family. SIncerely, Janine Lipfert less
