Dorothy Watson who was my doctoral advisor and is still my mentor always shared with me her wisdom gained from Ken Goodman having been her mentor. I appreciate Ken’s concept of wholeness within language learning and how that played out in my teaching and learning while being a writer and an artist. My doctoral program gave me many opportunities to read Ken’s words and hear him speak. It was during that time that I started writing to heal from childhood trauma. Twenty years later I am completing my story to become whole through the use of word and image. Thanks to Ken for sharing with Dorothy who then shared with me philosophical insights that shaped my healing.
