Lisa Jeannotte died peacefully in her home on December 3rd, 2021, in Tucker, Georgia at the age of 55.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Randy Elder. She will also be greatly missed by her three cats (Emily, Willow, and Lily), many family members, her oldest friend Colette Adams, and many other friends, teachers, and colleagues near and far.
Lisa was born on May 17, 1966, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Alphonse and Patricia Jeannotte. She graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1991 with a B.A. in Psychology and from Emory University in 1996 with a M.A. in Biological Psychology. She married her loving husband, Randy, on July 19, 1997. Shortly after graduation, Lisa went into business as a freelance scientific writer/editor, contributing her skill with language to many books, scientific publications, and other projects. She was an artist and avid naturalist, and particularly enjoyed hunting for mushrooms. She loved animals and dedicated a lot of energy to their welfare.
A virtual celebration of life is scheduled for 7:30-9:00 PM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lisa's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to ASPCA or your favorite organization that works to improve the lives of animals.
