Our youngest son Lloyd Muhle Hart has undergone almost three years of treatments and gracefully endured numerous changes in his life whilst receiving chemo, radiation, and immunotherapy. I remember all the trials and challenges our family has endured. We couldn't have done this or made it without all of your earnest prayers. Our Father God showed up every time to fill every need we had through some of you too. So, our family is grateful for your presence in our lives to this day.
Our son Lloyd was a very brave kid indeed. Some days I watched him in the battle and just knew I could not endure what he was battling, forgetting that when Jesus is holding your hand through your storm, He promises to give us strength for the tough moments and everyday trials of life.
I want to thank all of you that provided your presence, rides, financial assistance, prayers, laughs, hugs, spiritual encouragements, and just being there silently, like Earl Clifford Stanford III and Zach Sawyer. Sometimes you just sat there with Lloyd and said nothing at all.
Tim and Wendy Olsen, you created a safe place for many young men and women every Sunday evening that shaped Lloyd to whom he became in Christ and that led him to duplicate this in other young people that came to his path.
The testimonies from all of you living normal lives and interacting with our Lloyd here and there were so powerful and encouraging. Not that we are trying to label Lloyd as a perfect being, like all of us, we have failed sometimes but God in His grace has forgiven us and cleansed us from all our sins. Sometimes, a long life's journey can test the spirit deeply, just like the last three years. Please never stop believing that your faith, your inner strength, and the power of God's love will carry you through till you meet your heavenly father. Then, we get to see Lloyd again and be together forever and ever before our maker. No pain, no death, no suffering. Let's pray for each other. Sometimes, when we cannot understand, all we can do is trust that God does. Times like this can feel so overwhelming and that's why this comes with the prayer that God will be with all of us and bring comfort through His love.
We have a small loving family here in the USA, then a whole tribe in Africa. Lloyd has brothers, nieces, one sister, cousins and their spouses with children that loved Lloyd very much. He enjoyed playing his guitar, video games, watching movies, hobbies, cooking, fishing, partying, helping others, and showing kindness to all people.
May the Lord bless us and keep us. May the Lord make his face shine upon us and be gracious unto us, giving us His peace and comfort. We will seek God diligently and He will help us to overcome all strongholds before us. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
