I worked for Lorraine at Moldover Hertz Cooper & Gidaly from 1995-1997. Purple plexiglass kitchen, you say? I’ll never forget her partner’s office painted peach!

At one point Chris came out to the Hamptons and pointed out my store n Bridgehampton. It closed in 1986. It took a while to put it together that I was my mother's daughter. In fact we became friends and after I while she realized that she had heard about me not only from her son's but also my mother. It was a lifetime of crossovers. I knew that father of her two sons and we were close. Later out husbands became very close and spent time together. Our lives had many intersections. I will always love her.
I last time I saw her was to take her home gown tomatoes from my garden. She loved them so much! less

We met amidst a gaggle of children and men but after the men and children were gone was when we became friends. I loved coming to visit you for our chats: always interesting, your mind curious, willing to challenge me and very funny and warm. Very brave woman. Serious fashion sense! Our conversations were honest and open. I will miss you forever, Lorraine, my wonderful friend. less
