But I do remember the rich conversations about life and career (and occasional grammatical correction -- thank you Peggy!) that so influenced me as a young adult. Years have passed but my memories feel fresh. I'm so glad to have known Peggy. Love, Denise less

I loved watching the service- thank you so much for recording and sharing it. Peggy and Bob meant so much to my Mom (Millie Stevens). She loved them dearly as lifelong friends and I think of them as family. They are my brother Glenn's God Parents and I was always a bit jealous of that.
One thing that stands out to me as a memory of Peggy was her voice. She had a very distinct cadence to her voice. It was one of a kind and it was unique. She had a way of telling a story and smiling, or smirking while Bob had a big laugh- they were truly soulmates and a joy to be around.
We had the chance to see Peggy and Bob at the lake in 2013.- I took Bob out for a ride in my boat and it was lovely cruising around together. Peg and Mom stayed back to chat. It was a wonderful day!
In watching the slide show at the beginning of the service it is clear that family means everything- and what a beautiful family. I'm so very sorry for your loss but what a gift you all were given to have Peggy in your lives. Cherish the memories, Peace and Love,
Daphne Stevens less
It was always special to me that Peggy included me in the family as the "outlaw". The memorial service was special and created a wonderful picture of her life. Sweet journeys, Peggy...
Love to all,
Barbara

It’s clear that family was important to Peggy, and also to Bob and all of the Bicknells. I was so touched by Bob’s telling of their love story of 67 (and more!) years. In the 3+ years I’ve known Peggy and Bob (at The Commons), I could see their love and partnership was (and is) something truly special.
I’m grateful to both Peggy and Bob for being so welcoming to my parents and our family as we joined The Commons community. Peggy was wonderfully kind, patient, and encouraging to my mother who has some cognitive decline. In listening to everyone’s words of remembrance, I greatly appreciate Peggy’s big and generous heart, no nonsense ways, and all of her “waymaker” efforts in making forward progress for women and other things that needed change.
Thank you for sharing so many fun photos and cherished memories! Keep them close in your hearts and Peggy will always be with you. less
The memorial service was a beautiful tribute to Peggy. I knew her best through the memoir-writing group at The Commons. She had a wonderful way of sharing her memories in an honest and amusing way. It was a privilege to have known her.
I so appreciated meeting Peggy at the Rehab a few years ago, where her warm and delightful presence invigorated Howard and myself. Knowing her at that time and since at Russell was a delight for both Howard and me.
What a wonderful tribute to Peggy! I so enjoyed all the photos and it was a treat to see her journey through life with family and friends. She is so missed by all but has left a wonderful legacy behind. Thank you Sheryl for sending. ❤️

They made me feel very welcome and saw that I was well entertained. They did this in spite of all the activities they had during their own busy time.
2 years later they came to Vermont for my high school graduation. They have attended many of our family events over the years and added their special personalities. I always thought of Peggy with love and fond memories and will continue to do so until we meet again! Much love to Bob, Sheryl, David and their families.

I remember the first time I met Peggy and Bob (way before marrying Kyle) and how welcome they both made me feel. And through the years, at Donnelly gatherings, I so enjoyed my conversations with Peggy. I looked forward to the Holiday letter and enjoyed reading it after the hustle and bustle of the big day. It became a favorite gift of mine to enjoy once the festivities were over and the last dish was in the dishwasher. I so admired Peggy's gift for writing. And I appreciated both Peggy and Bob's compassion...particularly in remembering our boys each Christmas. Reminding the boys there are others in need and their ability to make an impact. I will miss Peggy but more than anything, I am grateful to have been blessed with her presence. XO less
Thank you for this beautiful service that provided an opportunity to know Peggy at another level beyond what we knew at the Commons. Mel and Laura Bernstein
Peggy always had a way of making you, as an individual, feel important. Always listening to everything you wanted to say. Drawing you out. Always entertaining and the most excellent host. Just so fun to be around. Heaven is richer.
I remember going to Lexington to see Bob and Peg. They were so kind, and welcoming to a little kid! They allowed me to call them by their first names, instead of uncle and aunt, and that made me feel special. Peg was so approachable! I chose this photo to recall a very happy time when she and Dad visited us and we went on a foliage tour. We stopped here at the base of Mount Washington for pictures.
