Peggy’s goal in life was to simply “care and love” supported by her lifelong devotion to her religion. She was an intelligent and motivated woman, always looking at the brighter things in life. She remained a faithful Christian for her entire life, creating an extended family from her bible study group.
Throughout her life she had passions. Peggy sang as a beautiful soprano in the Vanguard Voices group and frequently by herself. She was a devoted Counselor for “Another Way Pregnancy Center”, a passionate advocate for the right to life.
Peggy was born in 1926 to the late Leo and Effie Graf of Swissvale, PA. Her passing precedes her 45-year loving marriage to late James Dallas Willson and then to late Leo McDonough.
Peggy is survived by five devoted children, Bill (Amy), Glen (Cheryl Mattison), Peggy Stout, Jim II (Kelly), and Gina (Mark) Willson-Artinian; grandchildren, Whitney (fiancé Frank) Willson, William Willson, Andrew Willson, Lauren Willson, Alex Willson, Christi Willson, Chelsea (Joseph) Swykert, and James III (Ashley) Willson; and great-grandson Levi and great granddaughter Quinn Swykert. Peggy was also preceded in death by siblings Mary and Bill Graf.
Although Peggy will be greatly missed, we know God is pleased to have a generous angel back in his arms.
The Willson family will receive guests at the funeral home on Sunday, January 23, from 2-8 pm, with a 7:00 pm prayer service. Peggy's funeral mass will be celebrated Monday morning, January 24, at 10:00 am (in state 9:30 am) Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 23615 Power Rd., Farmington. A procession to Oakwood Cemetery, Farmington, will immediately follow mass. There will be a luncheon following the procession at Crispellis, 6690 Orchard Lake Road, West Bloomfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes are suggested to Another Way Pregnancy Center, Farmington Hills.
