She reached out to me and wanted to make sure I understood the importance of school social work. I appreciated her graciousness and the depth of her knowledge and experience. She also knew many social workers in the field throughout the state. For many years, she would call me on a regular basis to discuss school social work policy and legislation. She was smart and had a quick grasp of the issues but more importantly, she was completely dedicated to school social work and professional social work in general. I missed her after I retired and above all I'll miss her as a genuine, warm-hearted person who always made you feel positive about solving some of the most difficult societal problems. less
