Nicola Elizabeth Kouklani, born June 14, 1974, daughter of Sheila Miller and Mohsen Kouklani, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 47 on September 8, 2021.

Nikki, was the baby of the family who brought her family so much joy. She was adventurous, fun, outgoing and had a sense of humor that kept us all laughing. Anyone who met Nikki was touched by her loving spirit. 

Nikki attended St. Mary of the Valley Elementary School, Meadow Park Middle School and Sunset High School. Being the adventurous person she was, she lived in many places throughout Oregon and California. She had many different jobs over time. She worked in retail, travel and with her love of fashion, beauty and people, it is no surprise that she served as a stylist.

Nikki married Kendrick Mitchell and in 1990, they welcomed their beautiful baby daughter Keaundra Mitchell into the world. A few years later, their beloved Kyra Mitchell joined the family. Nikki's daughters were the absolute joy of her life. She was the epitome of a Mama Bear with her sweet girls. Keaundra and Kyra were loved beyond measure by their mother. There was never a dull moment when Nikki was around. Birthday parties, family gatherings and just day to day living became joyful, memorable events when Nikki was involved. 

Nikki was beautiful inside and out. She had an infectious laugh,  mischievous eyes that let us know she had some sort of surprise in store for us. She loved her daughters, food, candles, fuzzy blankets, flowers, plants, movies, fashion and the metaphysical. She adored her nieces and nephews, her friends, and her dogs; her sweet Shih Tzu, Smoky and rescued wolf-dog Luna who served as an emotional support companion until the very end.  

She is survived by her daughters Keaundra and Kyra Mitchell; her parents Sheila Miller and Mohsen Kouklani; brother Christopher Narico and sister Leah Willow.
