Bubbles. Yes, there is a whole posting just for people blowing bubbles. I can't think of anything that better expresses Mom's sense of fun and love of encouraging fun for others. Wherever there were kids, Mom brought out the bubbles. Everyone from...  more

And here the pictures end. 2013 is the last year that Mom took pictures. Garth's family and the Bailey family spent time at the cabin with Mom and Dad that Summer. Mom and Dad had one last grand trip to Alaska. We had no idea what was ahead. I'm...  more

Thank you to the many friends that Mom enjoyed spending time with. Post your own pictures if you have them. Got a funny story? We'd love to hear it.

Mom loved books. Especially kids books. I have no idea how much money she spent over the years buying books for her classroom. I inherited a good portion of the books when Mom retired. My family has enjoyed them thoroughly. I find myself quite...  more

Now we come to the birds. Mom was an avid birder and could identify many species by sight and sound. Pictured here:
Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Goldfinches, Cardinal, Loons, Wild Turkey, and White Crowned sparrow.

Mom liked seeing, taking pictures of, and teaching others about wildflowers. Somewhere in the depths of my brain I pulled out the names of all of these flowers:
    Ladies Slipper
    Trout lilly
    Trilium
    Jewel Weed

Vests and other questionable fashion choices. Mom had a vest for every season. I have a quilt that is made from the scraps left over from many of the vests. I think of her every time I see it. Feel free to add your own vest pictures!
