Paula Rose Curran
July 25, 1959 – March 29, 2020
Paula Rose Curran, 60, died peacefully on March 29, 2020 in Porter Hospice Residence, Centennial, Colorado in the company of her sister, Mary.
Paula was a wonderful woman who lived in faith and died in faith with family by her side. She never hesitated to let anyone know that her strength, optimism, and capability came from the Lord. Her faith was simple and uncomplicated trust in God, allowing her to charge ahead through each day, confident that all things came from Him. As long as she did everything she could, she could leave the rest up to the Lord. He blessed her with a keen mind, sharp wit and sense of humor, and a realistic attitude tempered with compassion and determination. She was fiercely devoted to her family. She looked to the future with hope and didn’t stop moving forward.
Paula will be forever remembered by her brother and sisters John (Mary) Curran, Stephanie Curran, Mary (James) Greenhalge, and Susan (Kevin) Lee. Paula will also be forever remembered by her two nephews Christopher (Amanda) Greenhalge and Patrick (Colleen) Lee, her great-nephew and great-nieces Aaron, Caris and Elise Greenhalge, great-nieces Stella and Alice Lee and extended family, dear friends, and co-workers.
One of the great joys of her life was her work with Robinson Brick, and then with MRI and Lockheed Martin for the past nine years. She relished the sense of mission, the challenge of working with so many talented and dedicated people, and that frankly, “It WAS rocket science.” Being nominated for the 2019 Rotary National Award for Space Achievement and receiving the Orion Nebula Award were “stellar” among her many accomplishments. The support and devotion of her co-workers were significant contributions to her daily motivation in continuing her fight against cancer.
Regretfully, due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns at this time, no formal memorial service is planned, but we ask that you take a moment to reflect upon how Paula was a part of your life. Sharing those thoughts, stories and memories on-line here will help all of us honor and celebrate her life. They will be cherished, they will bring comfort to her family, and they will confirm that we are all better for having known her.
Paula’s ashes will be scattered on the open prairie, near the Pawnee National Grasslands, where she was profoundly content and secure with her earthly family. Donations in memory of Paula can be made to the Denver Rescue Mission,
