Those who knew Pennie were fortunate enough to experience her kindness, thoughtfulness, and loving nature. She showed her love of family, friends, coworkers, and life everyday and in many ways.
As the campus supervisor for many years she greeted staff and students with a smile and made a point to say something good to each person. From birthdays and holidays to staff meetings she made all feel special with her baked goodies, decorations and handmade cards. With an epic work ethic Pennie somehow managed to get the school open and operating before anyone showed up, open gates, help with parking lot traffic, maintain safety protocols, help run the book/food store, deal with unexpected situations and have a full blown birthday celebration for folks by break time. None of us ever knew really how she made that magic happen. Pennie was the real deal. She will be missed. Some of you may have your own special memories of Pennie’s generosity and kindness. Please share them here.

She made a difference in the lives of so many taking the time to encourage a student struggling with school, or helping students and staff members with physical limitations get to class in her golf cart. Pennie’s special touch at all school events made graduation ceremonies memorable for all. less
