Peter Joseph Buckley Jr., age 36, passed away on October 5, 2020 at his home in Philadelphia.
He did many things during his life, but his most profound mark will always be the one he left on those around him. He had a way with people that drew them in and kept them there for life. He was a person you just couldn’t help but love. He had many passions, but he will always be remembered for his talent for storytelling and film, his sharp intelligence, his uncanny ability to make people laugh, and his love and pride for his son.
Peter leaves behind a heartbroken but resilient family: his son, Wilder and his son’s mother, Diane, his parents, Patricia and Peter, his sisters Cara and Laura, his brother-in-law Kevin, his girlfriend, Alyssa, and his best friend Butch along with many supportive cousins, aunts, and uncles on both family sides. He also leaves behind his recovery community in South Philadelphia who gave so much to his life. Peter was preceded in death by his brother, Conor, his maternal grandparents, Louise and John, and his paternal grandparents, Jean and Paul.
His acerbic wit and unmistakable laugh will be missed every day.
