Philip Pierre Beeson passed away January 18, 2021 in his daughter's home they shared in Oakland, CA. Deanna had the great honor to be at his side as he passed from colon cancer. Phil was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He shared with those he loved his passion for adventure and all things around, on and in water, including fishing, sailing, and whale watching, and we cherish every memory doing so with him.
Phil is survived by his son David and daughter Deanna; and grandson Jacob, and granddaughters Laura and Megan. He is also survived by his sister Toni, nephews Jeff, Jack, and niece Jennifer.
He is preceded in death by his beloved high school sweetheart and wife Mary Lou, and his parents Ernest and Bessie Pasqua Beeson.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be arranged when it is safe to do so to honor his and Mary Lou's wishes to "be buried at sea in the Monterey Bay where the current will soon be taking us on our last trip out across the South Pacific".

One time I told Kitty that I was gonna run away, and she told me to pack my bags. Uncle Phil told her I could go live with him!!!
You’re truly gonna be missed!
