We used to go hiking at Kennesaw Mountain all the time. I bumped into him last week at Kroger and he said we should go hiking again soon. I’m sad we’ll never get to go. I’ll think of Phill whenever I go hiking now. He’ll be missed.❤️❤️

He was ready to motivate those around him and put others first. He was genuine and sincere, and a good friend that was willing to share all that he had with others. You have given me so many wonderful memories. You will be so missed brother. less

Needless to say, Phil took the cake for the most creative and insulting but still hilarious sweater for the night!! We all had a blast and still remember the looks people would give him when they realized THEY were the ugly sweater. what a guy. truly. He always was cracking jokes. less
I remember Philip from many years of Christmas Eve gatherings and summer trips! He was always such a bright, energetic presence - always smiling (except when we had our game faces on!) and ready for a challenge or a fun game. He'll be missed.
Our hearts ache for Kate, Steve and the entire Shearer family. You're all in our thoughts and prayers. Wish we could be with you during this incredibly difficult time.
I wish I had a photo of how I remember Philip best. Mainly I see a kid coming out of the lake with a huge smile and wrapped in a towel. He was happy, and funny, witty and intelligent. He will be missed by all that knew him.

My mom was one of his Sunday School teachers and even being small, he had a wit that could stop anyone in their tracks. Our families were close through WCC and the Shearers always supported us through good and tough times. I got closer with Philip when he joined AFJROTC in high school and he was always one of the first to volunteer to be on my team for competition or for community service projects. Every practice was significantly more fun because of him. The sun shines a bit dimmer without him in this world, and I’ll always remember him as my right hand man, Philliam. Rest easy bud 💛 less
