The Portland Street Art Alliance collaborated with Pedalpalooza BIKE SUMMER to create a mural to honor our friend, Rabbitt Fox.
We'll bike to the unveiling of the huge, beautiful mural that Hayden (@chairboy_) meticulously hand painted at NE Broadway and 24th.
Those unable to bike with us can meet at the mural at 6:15pm and cheers the riders as we roll in.
This mural was an incredible example of communities coming together. Even the neighboring businesses are showing their love with donations and support.
Here are some of the ways locally owned shops are stepping up this day:
* Steeplejack Brewing Company - offering 50% off beers to those coming to view the mural on the 30th and setting up a water station at the mural
* Spielman Bagels - free bagels and smear, plus a $25 gift card
* Shop Merci Milo - 20% off all items in the store on the 30th
* The Realm Refillery - 10% off the day of and day after
* Spin Laundry Lounge - opening their doors to those who need to sit on a couch and enjoy some air conditioning for a bit, giving vouchers for free laundry, and donating 10% of their profits on August 30th to Rose Haven
We created this online memorial to celebrate the life of Rabbitt. Collecting your stories and memories here will help us all process. Share as many photos as you can. Click on the heart to let us know you were here and to receive email updates. Thank you for contributing to this lasting memorial.

I first met him when I reached out to see if he'd be interested in painting a bunch of doors for a renovation project I've been working on. I had seen some of his art & thought it was so cool. He was even cooler. One of the sweetest, most genuine people I've ever met. Any time I spent with him I was reminded at how cool it is to have a big heart, & to be sensitive, & to care about people. I wish we had more time with you here, but I feel so blessed to forever have a part of you on these beautiful doors you gave us. Thank you - I'll love you forever brother. less

Thank you for sharing photos of the collection and thank you for supporting him and his art. Working on these doors gave him much joy. I used to get daily (sometimes hourly!!) photos of his progress on them.
